Hi! I’m Brad Rothbart. Welcome to my site. I’m a theatre lifer, or what used to be called a Harold and Arthur. In my 20+ years in the theatre, I have worked as an actor, director, stage manager, grant writer, sound designer, box office assistant, and now dramaturg / theatre theorist. My written work has been published in TheatreForum, AMERICAN THEATRE, and Monologues For Men by Men Vol 2.
In addition, I have a Masters Degree in Drama from Stanford University and 5 years as a company member of The Living Theatre Currently, I read scripts for multiple play development and fellowship opportunities as well as serving on the Executive Board of LMDA, the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, as VP for Grants and Awards.
On a personal note, I am a huge sports fan (both fantasy and actual), love to travel and try new restaurants, and have an almost unhealthy obsession with the New Yorker house style, especially regarding their use of the diaeresis.
